Vertical farms, sunless farms, hydroponics, aeroponics - all are approaches that use artificial lights for growing plants. Traditionally, lights used for plants, such as fluorescents, covered the entire visible light spectrum. But plants are more sensi-tive to certain wavelengths, namely reds and blues.

The Sensity Systems Solution

Our turnkey solution for horticulture includes retrofitting of all plant-growing lights to high-efficiency LED lighting, with simultaneous installation of a NetSense Light Sensory Network.

LEDs enable horticulturists and farmers to regulate lighting for optimal plant growth, including tuning wavelengths for specific plant types. Adding sensors allows growers to automatically adjust the growing environment and to optimize the use of expensive or scarce resources, including electricity, water, and nutrients.
